The Procedure
Opalescence Boost is a 40% power whitening gel that offers instant results in less than 2 hours. This product is applied in the comfort of our office and you will leave with a whiter, brighter smile. Book your appointment today! We can also provide our patients with the Opalescence take-home kit. This is a great option for patients who would rather whiten in the comfort of their home rather than spend a few hours in their dentist’s chair. With the take-home kit, you will receive the same great benefits of professional whitening, but in the convenience of your home. The take-home kit can be used either during the night or during the day.
The kit comes complete with the whitening gel, and trays. The whitening gel contains PF (potassium nitrate and fluoride) which prevents the enamel from facing damage during the treatment. As a result, it also makes the enamel stronger, preventing you from cavities. Once you have filled the trays with the whitening gel, you will leave the tray in your mouth for the amount of time recommended for that strength of whitening. After the allotted time, you will need to thoroughly rinse your mouth and clean the tray. Results will be noticeable after about a week.
Benefits of Teeth Whitening
There are many benefits of teeth whitening. The number one is an increase in confidence. There is no feeling like wanting to show off your vibrant smile. Another benefit is that with Opalescence, your enamel will be strengthened, resulting in a healthier smile. As a result of the whitened teeth, patients want to keep their vibrant smile so they improve their own dental health to maintain their white smile.
Who is a Candidate for Teeth Whitening?
Any patient who would like to whiten their smile is a candidate. However, teeth whitening is not an option for patients who have gum disease, cavities, worn enamel, exposed roots, and women who are pregnant. To find out if you are a candidate for teeth whitening, consult with our cosmetic dentist, Dr. Matt.
